Courses to set you up for authentic self-development

Live Authentically

Life is not a recipe

Our daily life is filled with distractions. Phones ringing to catch your attention, commercials trying to convince you to buy a product, online video producers explaining how to do your job.

When we start living by the judgments of others or by following the recipes of the latest trends we lose trust in our self. Our intrinsic motivation decreases and creative ideas seem to come up less often.

There are an endless amount of ways to lose your way and start walking the path of another. Very quickly it can start to feel you are swimming against the current

Everyone is unique, came to birth with a different genome, was raised by a number of caregivers and teachers, faced their own challenges and found their own way to overcome them. This is what shaped your unique character, your passions and coping mechanisms.

Walk your own path

Do not go against your own nature. True knowledge comes from experience and can not be given to you, you need to apply yourself and make your own judgements. Strive for nothing less then reaching your full potential. Only from your point of view and with your knowledge are you able to make choices you are proud of. A process of continues growth. When you take responsibility for your own authentic development you will build self-confidence and reliance you have not experienced before.

By building a system that fits with your unique challenges, based your own set of skills and resources. You will start developing your own authentic sense of self and connect with your own source of creativity. Work will become a form of self-expression and exploration. Leading to more passion, clearer goals and find it easier to connected with others.

You will start swiming with the current rather then against it. With strong confidence you will flow with the current of your life, obtaining satisfaction that you act according to the best of your abilities.

Courses

Through the following courses you will build a strong foundation fundamental to all human functioning. Find your personal strengths and passion and investigate the most important factors that influence your success. Finally, in order to reach these successes, continually and authentically develop yourself you will create a iterative learning system.

After going through these courses you will be able to walk the path of self-actualisation

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

Positive Psychology

Through psychology and user research, I design and optimize educative content and courses that spark the experience of 'flow':

the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity

I'm a Psychologist (M.Sc.) focused on the development of exceptional talent and creativity and clinical developmental psychology

I'm passionate about seeing teams and individuals grow by fully expressing themselves and their worldviews, challenging them and learning to collaborate with others. To understand how people and companies develop I gather inspiration from Sport Psychology, Positive Psychology, Change Management, Design Thinking and Educational Design. This has created a very concrete and unique workmethod: develop an individual like an proffesional athlete, solve problems like a designer and collaborate like a coach. A process that is adaptable to all circumstances and goals an one might face.

I started my career as a psychologist in the mental health care industry. I was responsible for the intake and diagnosis of new applicants and find a suitable therapist and treatment for them. It brought me immense satisfaction to be able to help others understand their own behavioral patterns better and suggest method to change them in patterns that support their circumstances.

Looking to develop myself in education I first started as a teacher at the Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam I noticed how easily students get distracted and demotivated. It is imperative that the workflow of tutorials fit with the skill level, mental models and personal goals of the students. For 5 years, out of which 2 were bit-2-bit or blended learning. I utilize methodologies from dynamic skill acquisition, behavioral change and UX research to improve workflows & engagement and got nominated for best teacher of the year!

As a coordinator of the Activated Blended Learning team, a group of academic advisors, I started improving the quality of courses through research and design. Being part of this very creative and driven team my main challenge was to systematically design and improve our workflows. To bring creativity to implementation and testing what is working and what is not.

During this time I became a 1th grade Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction trainer. As a trainer I have experiences and seen first hand how transformative mindfulness can be. Helping individuals develop the skills neccesary to become self-suffecient in dealing with intense emotions and take controle over negative habits. Bringing forth a self-confidence that had not excisted before.

From these experiences I have learned and practiced how to create custom-tailored developmental trajectories

So how do I design experiences that spark 'flow'?

I collaborate with your team and domain specific experts and students. Through workshops I help them ask the right questions and test their assumptions. Every course functions differently, depending on culture, education, variety in expertise and mental models of students. Through research we form a deep understanding of our audience, our domain to design the optimal path for development.

1: Understand your user's goals, expectations, skills and pain-points.

Targeting a specific group of users and understanding their journey focusses the research on the most essential aspects improving collaboration within your team and between you and your audience.

2: Define a clear strategy with goals and objectives.

Defining the scope of the project into a clear business strategy and educational goals for maximum impact.

3: Ideate possible solutions with experts, users and designers.

Based on our research data and objectives we set up workshops that unleash the productivity and creativity of your team. Finding out-of-the-box solutions, challenging assumptions while connecting with our audience.

4: Prototype and gather user feedback.

Just as our students good educational courses are continually developing and challenging themselves. See your solutions in action, fine-tuning them or find completely new insights. The earlier and cheaper we prototype the more money we save during the development and implementation stage and the more thrust our audience will place in our course.

5: Iterate after launch until the users experience flow.

After launching your program, the number of students will grow allowing us to refine existing designs with more reliability and test new strategies to create a course that is inclusive to the wide variety of participants. In order to create a course were participants intuitively apply the most efficient learning techniques, unleashing their motivation and creativity.
